Using the date picker

Throughout ChurchSuite, in any date field (e.g. a date of birth, or a date on a calendar or Booking planner), you can type a date simply by typing the 8 digits of the date - typing "25111968" will be date-formatted into 25-11-1968". However, clicking any date field throughout ChurchSuite will display the "Date Picker".

Here's how it works:

Whilst you can use the left and right arrows to easily advance or retreat one month at a time, you can pick months and years more quickly by clicking on the drop-down month.

Clicking the month displays a list of months that you can select and quickly jump to. Clicking the left and right arrows will advance or retreat by year.

Clicking the year displays a list of years that you can select and quickly jump to. Clicking the left and right arrows will advance or retreat the range of years.

Setting which day the week starts on

Throughout ChurchSuite, the "Date Picker" respects the "Week starts on" day that you set in your Calendar module settings (Display Options). By default, ChurchSuite displays the Calendar with the week starting on a Monday. Date Picker follows this default. However, some churches may prefer to set Display Options for "Start week on..." as Sunday. Changing the Display Options in the Calendar module settings is also respected in Date Picker. For those churches that do not have the Calendar module installed, this will default to Monday (or Sunday in North America).
