Using the date picker

Your ChurchSuite account's Country setting determines the format of dates throughout the ChurchSuite platform - set when your account is created. For example, for US customers dates are added as mm-dd-yyyy and will display in the format mmm dd, yyyy (e.g. May 31, 2019). Or for UK customers, dates added as dd-mm-yyyy will display in the format dd-mmm-yyyy (e.g. 31-May-2019).

Throughout ChurchSuite, in any Date field (e.g. a date of birth, or an event date, attendance date), you can type a date simply by typing the 8 digits of the date - for example, a UK customer typing 21022019 will be automatically formatted into 21-02-2019 and, when the record is saved, will display as 21-Feb-2019. Similarly, for a US customer typing 02212019 will be automatically formatted into 02-21-2019 and, when the record is saved, will display as Feb 21, 2019.

As an alternative to tabbing into a date field and typing, clicking in a date field will pop-up the Date Picker. Note that you can set the date picker's Start week on in the Calendar module options - the Date Picker respects the same Start week on Display Options that you set for your Calendar module's calendar. For customers that do not have the Calendar module as part of their subscription, Monday is always used as the default.

Here's how the Date Picker works...

The Date Picker defaults to the current month, with Today highlights in blue. You can use the left and right arrows to easily move forwards or backwards one month at a time.

Clicking the Month displays a list of months from which you can select and quickly jump to, or, in this context, clicking the left and right arrows will now move forwards or backwards a year at a time for the current month.

Clicking the Year displays a list of years from which you can select and quickly jump to, or in this context, clicking the left and right arrows will now move forwards or backwards 20 years at a time.
