Why did my direct debit to ChurchSuite fail?

Where your church bank account only requires a single signature, setting up recurring Direct Debit payments to ChurchSuite through GoCardless (our Direct Debit provider) is really straightforward.

If your bank account requires dual signatures, simply follow these instructions to set up your Direct Debit for ChurchSuite.

Failed Direct Debit?

Setting up your church's Direct Debit payment to ChurchSuite is a quick and easy process for most of our customers. However, on occasion, customers find that their Direct Debit payment fails, and one of the main reasons we have encountered for this has been that their bank account requires dual signatures.

Does your church's bank account require dual signatures?

If your church's bank account requires dual signatures, at the point of setting up the recurring Direct Debit with GoCardless, you'll see a box marked "My bank requires dual signatures". Simply tick the box and proceed with completing setting up the payment online. GoCardless will automatically email you with a dual-signature bank mandate that has been pre-populated with your account and payment details which you download, print, sign and return to GoCardless for processing.
